1. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
The search engines can drive a lot of good traffic to your blog online. You just have to learn how search engines work and how they rank content on the internet.
If you are a newbie online, I highly recommend you to try to keep it all simple. It is easy to get lost in all of the SEO information you find online. Don’t ever overcomplicate things when it comes to SEO.
Just learn the simple and basic knowledge. Implement, and go from there.
Let me share with you the simple and basic information you need to learn to take advantage of the search engines.
There are two parts for search engine optimization. We have On-Page SEO, and Off-Page SEO. And of course, before anything, you need to do Keyword Research.
There are many tools online that you can use to help you find these keywords. You can even use the free Google Keyword Tool. I highly recommend you to find Long Tail Keywords with not too much competition.
Once you got some keywords you want to rank for, follow these simple tips.
– Use your keyword in the headings – H1, H2 and H3.
– Use your keyword in the Title.
– Use your keyword in the first sentence and in the last sentence of your article.
– Make sure your keyword is in the URL.
– Make sure you Underline, Bold, and Italicize your keyword.
– Make 1 to 2 of your keywords in the article – click-able/hyperlinked.
– Put your keyword in Alt Tags – you need to upload an image on your post and put your keyword in the ALT Description of the image.
– Make sure your keyword is in the Meta-Tags Title and Description.

The off-page SEO is what challenges most people. A long time ago, it was very easy to rank in Google – all you needed was a massive amount of backlinks (more than your competitors) and you were able to rank up fast.
Today, the search engines are way smarter than a few years ago. As you should know, because it is obvious, the search engines always want to provide their users with the best service.
It is their job to provide the user with quality and relevant information. So, the search engines are finding better ways to tell what content is valuable and relevant to the user’s search inquiries.
Now, if a blog post gets a lot of social shares, and comments – would it be fair to say that the content is very valuable?
When you are doing some research online, and you find a very valuable blog post, that is solving the problem you have – how likely are you to bookmark it, share it with others, and possibly link to it from your own blog?
This is why you must work on creating very valuable, and epic content online. Keep the end user in mind, at all times. Of course, you should implement a little bit of the On-Page SEO – but always keep the reader in mind.
If your content is very very good, then the Off-Page SEO should take care of itself. Now, of course, you will need to promote your blog post as much as possible if you want people to find it and share it online.
And this is how you get social shares, natural backlinks, and comments on your blog post – by providing EPIC, Problem-Solving Content to the search engine users.
At the end of the day, the content that really wins in the search engines is the epic content that solves specific problems and makes the reader feel good and interested in the information being shared.

Social Networks are a great place where you can build up a following and your own network of like-minded people.
You should be building up your social networks.
You know what they say; your network equals your net worth. And this is very true.
What I’m personally doing right now, is building up a following and network on Facebook, and I’m sharing my blog posts with them. I get a lot of free traffic to my blog from this.
You can do the same with Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn.
I would say these 4 social networks are the most popular ones when it comes to social communities – Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn.
One strategy that is currently working for me, is Facebook Groups.
Right now I’m building an internet marketing blog – so, what I’m doing is sharing my internet marketing knowledge in a private Facebook Group that I created, and I’m telling people to go to my blog to read my blog posts and watch my tutorials.
This simple strategy keeps people coming back to my blog. I also tell them to please share my content online. This is helping my blog get some extra Social Network Traffic every week. You just have to work on growing the community inside your Facebook Group.
You can and should do the same. Please let me know how this goes for you after you have implemented the Facebook Group Strategy for at least a month.
Social Networks are a powerful tool to drive free traffic to your blog online. You just have to get creative and implement simple strategies like the one I just shared with you.
But always remember, that if you want people to share your content and come back to your blog, you must lead with true value. This is why you should be publishing content that solves specific problems people are having in your niche.
3 – Blog Commenting
There are millions of blogs online right now. And a lot of them get good traffic every day.
One of the most popular blogging platforms is WordPress.com. To make this blog commenting strategy work, you should only leave comments on Self-Hosted WordPress Blogs that get a lot of good traffic every day.
And that is because, on a self-hosted WordPress blog, you can leave a link back to any website online.
So, imagine if you were one of the first ones to leave a comment, if that blog post gets about 300+ visitors a day, some will click on your name that links back to your blog or blog post.
You just got to leave many of these blog comments on related blogs to your niche. And also, make sure you leave blog comments on blogs that get a lot of daily traffic.
One way I can tell a blog gets good traffic, is by looking at the Alexa Rankings, and also by looking at how many comments the other blog posts have. Find these type of blogs online, which are related to your blog’s niche, and just leave a valuable comment.
You can do a simple Google Search to find self-hosted WordPress blogs to leave a comment on. Or you can go to blogging community sites and find blogs there.
To find blogs to leave a comment on, just do a Google search like this;
“Keyword(s)” “leave a reply” “powered by WordPress”
Then, go through as many blogs as you can. Use Alexa.com to check out their rankings and also check if the other blog posts get a lot of comments. You should only leave comments on blogs that get a lot of daily traffic.

4 – Blogging Community Sites
If you are brand new to the blogging world, you probably did not know about these blogging community sites online. When I first started blogging online, I didn’t.
I didn’t know about these blogging community sites for a long time. And when I learned about them, I realized I was missing out on a lot of free traffic the entire time!
Every time you publish a new blog post, you can share it in as many blogging community sites as possible. If you are an active blogger, and you become very active in the blogging community sites, you can definitely start getting some good free traffic to your blog online.

Just remember; you must be an active member of these blogging community sites, in order to benefit from them. You should be leaving comments on other people’s posts and reply to the comments you get.
You can also use these blogging community sites to connect with other bloggers in your niche. You can also find other self-hosted WordPress blogs with good daily traffic, where you can leave a comment linking back to your blog or blog post.
Let me give you one extra tip.
You should also do a little bit of Guest Blogging. And these blogging community sites, are a great place to find other blogs to submit a guest post in.
Just look around for related blogs, and blogs that get good daily traffic, and contact the blog owner regarding a Guest Post.
Try to publish at least one guest post a week. And more if you can. Guest Blogging is a great way to gain more exposure and get free traffic to your blog!
You should be working every day building up the traffic flow to your blog online. It is not too hard or complicated to drive traffic to a website online. It just takes a commitment, and self-discipline to do the necessary work.
You need to be as consistent as possible!
